John Morris & Eddie Delahunt at Walsh’s Corner Cocktails
John Morris Eddie Delahunt, Brett Gibson, and Gabe Reyes are performing Irish songs and music at Walsh’s Corner Cocktails on Saturday February 23, 2008 at 8:00pm
I saw the boys all play together a few weeks ago and they never sounded better. That’s not just some mindless superlative I’m throwing out there - though I’m not against that practice - no, they really sounded fantastic.
When I mentioned this to Eddie he explained to me what I was hearing. They were using some new fangled technology which ensured we got the best out of them. I’m no good with science so he lost me, but I believe it involved wires and and some machiney thing. Technology stuff.
And whenever there’s a special event at Walsh’s I like to point out that it’s one of my favourite bars in Kansas City. Located in Waldo on the north side of 85th Street, yards to the east of Wornall, Walsh’s Corner Cocktails has that great mix of sports bar and Americana, together with consistent great service.
That’s not just my opinion by the way, as the Pitch named it as the Best Neighborhood Bar, South in their Best of Kansas City 2007.
John Morris is also performing at Walsh’s on Saturday March 8, 2008 at 8pm after the annual Gaelic Mass.
