Please note that Irish-related events after St Patrick’s Day will once again be posted on the regular Kansas City Irish Events Calendar.
The Events Calendar has been neglected while we all concentrate on this annual Paddy’s Day madness, but very quickly it will revert to showing a schedule of events at least two months ahead.
Damien Rice is coming to town in May. MVFS bring Liz Carroll & John Doyle next month. There will be Irish authors at the inaugural Kansas City Literary Festival. Governor Stumpy’s will be having its annual Celtic Block Party. The Elders have returned from their tour of Ireland. The Irish film The Wind That Shakes The Barley will show at the Tivoli. Not one, but two men from Cork are returning to KC - Máirtín de Cógáin and Jimmy Crowley. And all your regular gigs featuring Eddie, Bob, Flannigan’s Right Hook, The Kelihans, The Lucky Charms, Trinity, Nine Mile Burn, will continue - as will the regional visits from The Wild Clover Band, Ellis Island, The Wild Colonial Bhoys, and more.
In short, if it’s Irish and moves - or pretends to be (Irish or moving) you’ll find it here on Irish KC, but first, let’s get Paddy’s Day out of the way.
