Kansas City in Gaelic Football Tournament
The KC Gaelic Athletic Club is going on its 2nd road trip.
It’s an All-Ozark Gaelic Classic.
On Saturday, August 16, 2008 the KC GAC are traveling to Springfield, Missouri, for tournament play against St. Louis, Little Rock and NW Arkansas.
This of course will give the KCGAC a quick opportunity for revenge against Little Rock.
Families are going with the players, and supporters are also encouraged to take the day roadtrip and join in by cheering KC’s Gaelic Football team.
If all goes well the KC GAC will even be wearing their brand spanking new new jerseys straight off the boat from Ireland.
Update: According to the recently reactivated Springfield Area Celts, the action takes place at Lake Country Soccer, Cooper Soccer Complex, Cooper 2 at 2331 E. Pythian Drive, which is located just east along Pythian, from the indoor/office facility (2334 E. Pythian).
3 Clubs will be doing 3 matches. Kansas City, St. Louis, and Little Rock (with some members of the North West Arkansas Club as well)
Fixtures:
1:00pm - KC v. STL
2:00pm - LR v. STL
3:00pm - KC v. LR
4:00pm - Combined squad game
The KC GAC blog is a good way to keep up with news, and their forum is great for following the news in detail.
I really like that in its first year the Kansas City Gaelic Athletic Club has rendered meaningless much of what I used to go on about all the time.
