Irish Gala 2008 a Big Success
Rachel Casey of the IMCC tells me that their annual Irish Gala over the weekend was a big success.
IMCC’s annual Irish Gala was a sell-out this year on Saturday, March 8. Larry Moore did his usual terrific job of emceeing the event. Tom McDonnell was honored with the John J. Sullivan Jr. Foundation humanitarian award for his many contributions to the Irish & greater KC community.
The huge & hugely appreciative crowd enjoyed performances by Cherish the Ladies, Trinity, and the O’Riada Irish dancers. It will long be remembered as one of the great evenings of this year’s Kansas City Irish Season.
Posts featuring the programs and events of the IMCC I put in the Organizations category, but I’ll be creating categories for each of the Irish organizations in Kansas City shortly.
