Irish bed-and-breakfast specializing in homemade fare
Looking in Missouri for an Irish Bed & Breakfast specializing in homemade fare? I’m not.
But if I was, The Carthage Press tells me that you can find one in the Maple Leaf City.
Carthage, Missouri is the county seat of Jasper County and is situated on what is now Historic Route 66. Historic is the term we used for by-passed.
And now Carthage is an official weekend getaway for Chicagoans, having made last Sunday’s Daily Southtown:
The White Rose Restaurant and Winery and the Carthage Deli and Ice Cream were listed as an “Irish bed-and-breakfast specializing in homemade fare” and 1950s-style diner with a variety of sandwiches.
If you live in KC you can go there and be ahead of the happening people, because “Carthage will be in three Kansas City additions next spring and up to 500,000 people will be reached”. I’m not quite sure what that means to be honest but the city is trying to get in the Kansas City Star and target both KC and Oklahoma next year.
If you do go, let me know just how Irish the Bed and the Breakfast is, I’m already salivating at the thought of black and white pudding.
