Lee’s Summit, MO Firm Scatters American Ashes in Ireland
The International Scattering Society is a travel agency for the cremated.
Based in Lee’s Summit, MO in the KC area, the ISC will have a member later this month scatter the ashes of an American from Connecticut in the lakes of Killarney, in the county of Kerry in Ireland’s southwest.
Video and photos will then be given to the relatives of the deceased.
The specific story is in the Columbus Dispatch
This story reminds me that my family in Ireland still has our dog’s ashes in the egg cupboard, where they have been for many years due to us all being unable to find agreement on what to do with them. Scatter or bury? A container that is bio-degradable or permanent? etc.
My parents know that in the absence of detailed instructions on what to do with their remains, they too are destined for the limbo of the egg cupboard.
