Flogging Molly Green 17 Tour in KC, MO
On what is now their annual countdown to St. Patrick’s Day, what’s called “The Green 17 Tour”, Flogging Molly have scheduled a gig in Kansas City, Missouri.
They’ve actually listed it as being in Kansas but you’d think Flogging Molly have played KC enough times that the people behind them would know the Beaumont Club is in Missouri.
The performance is scheduled for Wednesday February 5, 2008 at 8pm (though the Beaumont Club says that’s a Tuesday) and the ticket pre-sale started yesterday Monday, December 3.
The tour is described as an all ages tour, and is in support of Flogging Molly’s new album, “Float”, which is due out on March 4, 2008.
I like the Beaumont Club; it’s hard not not to like a venue which has a “Concert for Peace” immediate prior to hosting Damagefest and Metal Wars.
It’s also where Rico is having his Hooligan Holiday on Dec 16, a private party which includes The Elders no less. You can expect to see Rico at the FM gig too - probably comparing Man U tats with Flogging Molly’s Dave King.
Accordion player Matt Hensley is now back with Flogging Molly full time after quitting last year. Hensley has already played several shows and was in Ireland with the band recording “Float” in County Westmeath. How many times do you hear of people going to Westmeath?
The Beaumont Club is located at 4050 Pennsylvania in Kansas City, Missouri - that’s in behind Kelly’s Westport Inn. You can call their Box Office at (816) 561-2560.

They’re gonna be at the biggest StPatricksDay party in the Central Atlantic on March 15th. It’s called the Shamrockfest. http://www.shamrockfest.com Great band. You can also check out the stpatricksday.com village. We’re gonna have competitions between the local pubs as well as cool gear. Hope to see you there.
