Westboro Baptist Church Message for Ireland
Ireland’s Sunday Independent yesterday carried a message for the people of Ireland from the Westboro Baptist Church.
It was delivered in a lengthy article written by Donal Lynch on the Kansas-based church. Lynch spoke with Shirley Phelps but there’s not really anything knew in this so I should probably revert to ignoring the WBC again after this post.
The message in question comes at the end of the article and is the latest in the Phelps’ sect theme of “God Hates Ireland”.
Your nation is doomed. But each of you has a never-dying soul. If you care about where you are going to spend eternity — for ever, with no time off for good behaviour and no change except your increased capacity to withstand pain and with that capacity comes more pain — then you will repent.
Otherwise, the worms will eat out of you and the smoke of your torment will ascend upward for ever and ever and you’ll have flames coming out of your eyes.
You must admit - having flames coming out of your eyes sounds kind of cool in a superhero sort of way.

Strange deluded and disfunctional people! - Had the misfortune to come face to face with them while attending the consecration of Bishop Gene Robinson in New Hampshire in 2003. Going into the service had to pass the usual placards - God hates Fags etc - but was delighted to see the loony protestors from WBC outnumbered by students from the University (Service took place in ice hockey arena on college campus) who were protesting the protestors!
Wow, now they’re nailing Ireland……crazy. A lot of people I’ve spoken with have still never heard of this church and it’s activities.
Besides the obvious negativity that this group spreads, the saddest thing is the kids that are involved in this church. They may never get to actually choose their own spiritual path. They’ve been totally brainwashed by this twisted 2 dimensional version of Christianity.
I wrote something up about the church as well and threw up a couple videos of them and a picture of a toddler holding a sign that says “you will eat you babies”

a family run church?……all led and said by one crazy old bastard, if we dig hard enough, im sure we’ll find old Fred has been banging family members and convincing the poor idiots thats it’s god’s will, their a laughable bunch of trailer park trash made good. why the media gives them a voice is beyond me, no ISP should host their site, no paper outlet should let the advertise or give them editorial, shut them out with a media blackout, and they’d soon go back to their backward little piss ant town.
and to be honest if one of my brothers or sisters were killed in any war and these fools were outside protesting, I’d be right up there with Dr Harold Shipman for the amount of killing I’d do, all credit to the families and friends of these soldiers for not reacting.
