The Valley Project
From their festival performances in Kansas City many folk music fans in KC will be familiar with Ireland’s Fran Harper and Naoimh Penston.
Together with their friend Ian Byrne, front man of The Elders of Kansas City, and Shea Fitzgerald from Glasthule and Todd Wiseman from Kansas, they formed and recorded The Valley Project.
The CD they recorded is named after Wicklow’s beautiful Vale Of Avoca, and is a collection of originals and classics.
While the original website for The Valley Project is now gone, there is further information on WicklowToday.com including music samples: The Valley, Dimming of the Day by Richard Thompson, and Entranced.
Ian’s brother, Paul Byrne, webmaster of The Elders‘ website has now made that Valley Project CD available through the Elders merchandise page where you can purchase it for $15
