Cleveland Celtic Podcast
If you listen to the current Cleveland Celtic Podcast - the Halloween Special edition - you’ll get to hear Ian Byrne, lead singer with The Elders in a very entertaining interview conducted by Wendy Lee - HERE
It being a Halloween show, Ian talks about the day, and more importantly night, as it was when he was growing up near Avoca in County Wicklow.
The Cleveland Celtic Podcast Hallowe’en show is an hour long, but Wendy is very professional and very likeable, and sweeps you through it, like deer in the glen, as Paul McCartney might say.
If you’re not into podcasting as podcasting, but just want to download and listen in that old-fashioned 2003 way, be aware that the file is 50 megs or so.
As well as Ian and The Elders (Banshee Cry), you also get to hear, among many, Brigid’s Cross (Uncle Mickey’s Ghost), The Indulgers (Chase The Ghost), and the Brobdingnagian Bards (Johnny At The Door).
I must pass on some pronounciation tips on Samhain and Bealtine.
Yes, Hallowe’en is Irish but this is the weekend before Hallowe’en, so no celebrating from me. Sometimes life is just inconvenient.
But anyway, my porridge is ready; I must up and haste away.
I had a visit to Dublin last weekend and in our hotel there was an Ian Byrne who was singing. He was fantastic and I would like to get a CD or something or be able to listen to him again. Very impressed with his singing.
