The Indulgers Ireland Tour 2007
Colorado’s Irish Western Rockish Band The Indulgers who had a, ahem, brief pause there before Thanksgiving, roared back with an announcement of a tour of Ireland in 2007.
It will take place over a week in November, and deposits are now being taken. It’s another Hammond Tours operation, and judging by the success of everybody else’s Hammond Tours affairs (Elders, Young Dubs, Enter The Haggis, Black 47, The Glengarry Bhoys, The Prodigals, Cherish The Ladies, The Fenians, and more), it will doubtless be a big success.
Actually the best thing about this trip isn’t the visits to Dublin, Limerick, Cashel, Kilkenny, Blarney, or Galway - whether or not you go to the Aran Islands or trip around magnificent Connemara - no, it’s that the Indulgers are spending a night of their tour in Howth.
Of course The Indulgers have their reasons for visiting Howth - much like The Elders passing through the Vale of Avoca - but Howth is an overnight stop with The Indulgers, which makes it all the better - one day all touring bands will do this.
Given that I write so much of Irish KC in my head when on the bicycle, I actually thought I posted this six weeks ago - but after writing it in my head I apparently never even drafted it, let alone posted it.
