Slow Session Starts Again in Atchison, KS
John Bunch in Atchison, Kansas sends word that the Slow Session at Benedictine College starts again this WEDNESDAY Evening, August 29, 2007
They start at 8:30 pm in the Haverty Center on BC’s campus - also known as the old roost and where the slow sessions have been playing for the last 2 years.
Everyone is invited to come and play - the tunes for this week are two jigs - Willie Colemans and Donnybrook Fair!
Starting in September, there will also be an Irish/Scottish beginning music class from 7:30 - 8:30 at BC, the specific location has yet to be announced (though it too will probably be at the Haverty Center - it’s just not confirmed yet) The idea behind this is to teach intoductory class in the Fall and in the Spring.
If you need directions or any further information about the Benedictine College Slow Session, please contact John Bunch by phone: 913-367-0394 (hm) 913-426-3445 (cell), or by email:
jfsbunch@yahoo.com, jbunch@benedictine.edu.
I’ll put this on the KC Area Irish Events calendar when I stop dripping sweat onto cardboard boxes.
