Rhys-Meyers, a Model Irish Actor
The Irish Gay Icon Who Shot Michael Collins, has been announced by Versace as the image of its autumn clothing range.
Seems like it’s a while since we heard from Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, but the Irish actor has been busy nonetheless. After collecting his Golden Globe gong for his portrayal as somebody called Elvis, Rhys-Meyers has been filming The Tudors, a television production being shot in Dublin and Wicklow:
Jonathan, has said it is an honour to play Henry VIII, adding that Henry VIII was a great visionary. He helped develop a nation that would become an empire
Irish Arts Minister John O’Donoghue visited Ardmore Studios in Bray where the cast, including Sam Neill as Cardinal Wolsey and Maria Doyle Kennedy, were ensconced in velvet costumes, and felt it important to point out that unlike other jurisdictions Ireland allows tax relief for TV productions, not just for cinema. Tax relief for ensconcing people in velvet costumes is to be applauded.
TMZ.com reported that the 28-year-old Cork actor, will be the only male face amongst a group of female supermodels such as Christy Turlington (is she still super?) and Kate Moss, as part of Versace’s advertising campaign which begins in August. But anyway, it’s about the clothes.
