Liam Neeson is Older
Speaking of Liam Neeson, today is the day you say Happy Birthday Big Liam - ideally when he is within earshot.
Neeson has been in the news lately for a couple of projects. One has Liam possibly playing the famous co-founder of the SAS, former County Down resident, Lieutenant-Colonel Blair “Paddy” Mayne in a film to be produced by former Formula One racing star, Irv the Swerve.
And the other project is one of two possible movies currently in early development about the infamous Kerry Babies scandal of over twenty years ago now.
Instant gravitas when Liam plays in your movie you see. He’s the man who makes respectable the notion of a movie about an american ninja dressed up as a bat. And soon he’ll be Lincoln, and returning as Aslan.
Much as I liked Lamb and Excalibur in the years before Schindlers List and Michael Collins, I think it was even earlier as Blackie O’Neill in Barbara Taylor Bradford’s A Woman of Substance that Liam became the wise sage who has gone on to save souls, sinners, and galaxies.

Liam is also supposed to play president Lincoln of The USA directed by Spielburg…it’s posted on my blog.

That one is a done deal alright - I mentioned it there in the gravitas bit when I said he’d be returning as Aslan.
