Persuaders on Podcasting
Such is my world that I spend a lot of time on Irish sites and on marketing sites (and tech sites and art sites, and sites about small furry animals) and it’s an increasing sign of the world’s connectedness when I come across friends back in Ireland through various different online routes.
Three routes today led me to this video of Irish podcaster Alex Gibson, a former housemate of mine in Dublin, talking with Edelman’s David Brain about the success of his podcast - which is an enhanced/evolved version of his Irish marketing radio show, The Persuaders:

Glad I could bring you guys together. So was he tidy? Did he buy the milk? Any personal hygiene issues you feel like sharing?
I’m not the kiss and tell type David, though Alex is an academic - so what do you think?
I was there for the very first edition of his first marketing radio programme, the precursor to The Persuaders, and we had great discussions on where the internet, then in its infancy, might go - with particular focus on marketing and media - which is a lot of fun to look back on.
Should I excuse myself and come back later, when you’ve quite finished discussing our co-haibitation arrangements?
