Latest Comments
Because of the volume of posting on Irish KC, and the nature of so many of those posts being listings, there is a tendency for debate and comments to be stifled as posts rapidly slide down the main page and off into a dark place known as the archives.
In an attempt to redress that somewhat I’ve added a feature in the far sidebar (under Main Events) to show the latest comments made.
I’m going to keep tinkering with it, but right now I’ve going with the options of displaying - all of which are clickable - the post title, the number of comments, and the commenters names.
For example, ah heck you don’t need an example, just go over there and click somebody’s name.
I should add that I haven’t had any tea for half an hour and I feel cranky, so I may change my mind before the sun comes up and scrap that section completely, or replace it with something else.

Just one man’s opinion but as someone who tries to check in with the blog every day I find the new “latest comments” box VERY helpful. Alternative is a lot of scrolling and squinting and trying to remember how many comments were on a message the last time you read it. I had totally missed Brett’s comments about W. J. McBride’s until just now when I saw it in the new box.
I’d say it’s definitely worthwhile.
