Jim Malcolm, Scottish traditional singer/songwriter/musician is playing an acoustic gig in a CMCAA presentation in Columbia, Missouri this Friday, September 11, 2009
Location
Performing at the Orr Street Studios, 106 Orr St (between Walnut and Ash Streets, downtown Columbia) at 8pm, Jim, and you, will be surrounded by art as the building houses the studios of 25 local artists.
Acoustic
The gig will be a house-concert-style acoustic show with no amplification - just the natural sound of the instruments and vocals.
Robert Burns
In honor of the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns, Jim released an album of all Burns songs. The 2nd half of his concerts this year are performed in costume (dressed as Rabbie Burns) and are all songs, recitations and anecdotes of Burns’ poetry and life.
Admission
$15 / $10 students & seniors. / kids 14 & under free
Refreshments
Hot tea, coffee and lemonade provided at the break. Audience members are invited to bring treats to share.
