The Wind That Shakes The Barley in Kansas City, MO
A lot of people in KC have been asking me about this Irish film.
You know it finally gets its release in the US in March 2007.
And you know the week before that release that it gets its American premiere in New York, with Cork singing actor and friend of Kansas City, Máirtín de Cógáin in attendance.
And you know that Máirtín recently had his humongous beard shaved and ridiculous hair cut in honour of cancer victim Jennifer Ireland, so he would again look like his character Seán in Barley.
And you know that the best cinema in KC for seeing Irish films is the Tivoli in Westport.
And you know that the Tivoli lost a wonderful person to cancer last year.
And you know that May is a great month to go to the movies.
And you know that Gerry e-mails out details of forthcoming films in his excellent Tivoli newsletter.
What else do you need to know?
