Hello Blogorrah Readers
It’s rather busy in KC here at Towers gan Fhéile this morning because our Dublin Walls post was fetured on Ireland’s premier entertainment site, HERE on Blogorrah - with the photo of my favourite piece of graffitti in Dublin.
Funny enough, also on Blogorrah today is a post that reminded me I’ve been meaning to tell you about something all week: I watch British TV’s Doctor Who (don’t ask how) and last weekend somebody, more astute than I, watching the latest episode with me, said of the cat-man in New Earth, Hey - that’s Father Dougal!
Because it was. And Blogorrah have posted the video clip of our first meeting with Ardal O’Hanlon’s character, who I wouldn’t be surprised to see re-appear later in this series, or the next. That pretty much rules him out as a candidate for taking over from David Tennant as the next Doctor though.
O’Hanlon’s is the best Irish character I can recall in Doctor Who since a corporal in the army, in an animated webcast series with Richard E. Grant as the Doctor, shouted the wonderful line, It’s a great big dirty alien, sir!
If you’re new to Irish KC, you might want to have a good root around the sidebars to see what the site is about. The Conversations, the Little Differences, and the Frequently Asked Irish Questions are always popular, but then there’s a list of the most popular posts ovre on the far sidebar. Feel free to disagree.
