Harp & Shamrock Celtic Music Benefit 2007
The Harp and Shamrock, the Bob Reeder Fan Club “Night of Celtic Music” benefit for the hearing aid fund at Children’s Mercy Hospital is TONIGHT, Saturday, November 10th at Kyle’s Tap Room , 6825 N. Oak Trafficway, Gladstone stone.
It features Bob Reeder, Eddie Delahunt, The Kelihans, John Morris, Juliet Moore, and the Ararat Shrine Pipes and Drums.
If you live in the KC area all of those names should be very familiar to you, Juliet Moore being the only new name for myself - but being described as a Celtic Flutist means Juliet is a great addition to a night of various forms of Celtic music.
The Harp & Shamrock’s annual fundraiser for Children’s Mercy is a major event on the Irish calendar in the KC area, helping to contribute thousands to a great cause.
It is $10 at the door with the proceeds going to the Children’s Mercy. The event is scheduled to run from 5pm until midnight. There will of course also be many auction and raffle items.
I’m in London myself right now, (and I’ll confess to not being up very long - because I was doing until quite late, ahem, field research for Irish KC), so I won’t make it there, but you need to think about going and supporting a great charity by listening to a load of live Celtic music, and drinking the best Guinness in the metro area.
The Harp and Shamrock is a 501(c)(3) public charity a Missouri not-for-profit tax exempt corporation. Their Mission Statement summarizes: “Helping Children to Hear Through Irish Music.”
