Guggenheim Grotto at KC Irish Fest 2010
Ireland’s folk-popsters, The Guggenheim Grotto are reporting on MySpace, and on FaceBook, and on Twitter that they are playing in Kansas City on Friday, September 3, 2010.
And possibly on Saturday, September 4, 2010. I don’t know; I don’t understand these new fangled FaceBook, MySpace, and Twitter things.
I’ve talked about The Guggenheim Grotto before here on Irish KC (and very positively so), because that’s the sort of man I am. But that post got eaten when a previous hosting company suffered an attack (because that’s the sort of hosting company they were) but there’s a snippet in here from a couple of years ago.
Who or what are The GG, as I like to call them? They’re a folk band, but in the pop sense rather than the Irish traditional sense. Think The Swell Season meets Simon & Garfunkel. At a festival near you. An Irish festival. In Crown Center. In KC. In September. So says online sources.
