Easter Sunday: I got an egg
For the 1st time in, over 20 years, possibly 30, today I got an Easter egg. Unless I’ve forgotten some.
When I lived in Kansas City, given the Easter customs in America, I was frequently asked what did the Easter Bunny bring you as a kid in Ireland?. That post was written 4 years ago in reference to a time in Ireland that is no more.
The asking of the question meant people accepted that holiday customs in Ireland could be different than those in the US, but still assumed they were essentially the same.
Regular readers will know that I don’t like chocolate - an effect I believe of being given a solid Easter egg once when I was about 12 - but I do like to deprive others of it so I’ll be eating this one. Happy Easter yourself, whatever that means.
