Celtic Woman Comes to the Sprint Center in Kansas City
On Sunday March 30, 2008 the show featuring several of everybody’s favourite singing Celtic women, Celtic Woman, returns to Kansas City when it takes place at the new and shiny Sprint Center.
You’ll be seeing a new Celtic Woman this time around, the very experienced Alex Sharpe, because Lisa (when you’re a Celtic Woman you lose your surname, as Alex is about to find out) is due to give birth to a Celtic baby.
I’ve probably already said all I can say about Celtic Woman last time the girls were in town - a full year before this concert.
I posted a video on that earlier post, of a rather dramatic version of She Moved Through The Fair on Irish television, so here’s a new one - of You Raise Me Up. From “Celtic Woman - A New Journey: Live at Slane Castle, Ireland” and supposedly not in the original TV broadcast. It builds up nicely to a climax of swaying frocks that certainly raised me up:
UPDATE: And there’s more about these most Celtic of women
At the time of posting this the concert is not listed on the Sprint Center’s website for some reason, but it is listed on the Celtic Woman website.
Tickets are priced at $52 and $67.
The Sprint Center, if you’ve somehow missed it, is located at 1407 Grand Boulevard in Kansas City, Missouri. Once again tickets are due to be sold via KCPT and extortionately on TicketMaster.
