Claddagh Irish Pub for Leawood, KS on Hold
With all the talk of the new Irish pubs in downtown Kansas City, several people have been asking me what ever happened to the plans for the new Irish pub in Leawood, Kansas.
You may recall that the land was purchased and then that plans were approved for the new pub, and rumours then reasonably surfaced saying the pub would open in 2007.
Well it hasn’t.
Luckily for you though, people have also been asking Joyce Smith of the Kansas City Star’s Cityscape column. And there you’ll find an answer to whatever happened to the Claddagh Irish Pub that was supposed to open at The Cornerstone in Leawood:
The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization late last year and has put its expansion plans on hold, according to the company.
