Bishop Boland: 50 Years a Priest
Speaking of Irish pessism, some readers of Irish KC will be interested in the recent celebration of Bishop Boland’s 50th anniversary of his ordination into the priesthood:
I have been so fortunate and so blessed that my nature, streaked with that innate sense of Irish pessimism, sometimes wonders if everything is too good to be true,” Bishop Boland said.
Bishop Boland served the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph from 1993 to 2005. The event - it was a mass- took place at Visitation with other bishops and over 40 priests including several Bishop Boland ordained himself. To be honest I didn’t know there were that many priests around any more.
