A Weekend of Irish Music at O’Malley’s
Whilst drawing attention to various performances of live Irish music around the Kansas City area, I shouldn’t forget that the venue that puts on most live Irish music in the area is O’Malley’s Irish Pub in Weston, Missouri.
This weekend, for example, is a special Wild Colonial Bhoys full band show on Friday, September 18, 2009. The Bhoys are playing 8pm to midnight.
Also this weekend, you have the debut of The Three Dollar Band on Saturday from 8pm to midnight in the Upper Cellar. Three Dollar Band is Adam Braunschweig, Chris Carr, and Keith Van Winkle. They play a mixture of American folk songs, Appalachian music, traditional Irish music, sea shanties, and original compositions. You’ll be hearing more of them
And on Sunday, Kansas City’s favourite Limericking singer of Irish songs, Bob Reeder, will be playing from 3pm to 9pm.
Not to mention the small matter of the Irish Fest coming up next month October 9th-11th, 2009.
