In Kansas City, Missouri on January 12-14, 2007 the Midwest Highland Arts Fund (MHAF) presents Winter Storm weekend.
On Saturday, January 13, 2007, at 7:30 pm in the Community Christian Church at 4601 Main Street, Kansas City, Missouri is one of the highlights of the weekend, the Pipes & Drums Concert. This concert will feature an international, all Gold-Medal line-up of nineteen of the World’s Best Highland Bagpipers and Champion Scottish Drummers, from Scotland, Canada, and the United States.
Special Guest performers will be The Kansas City Highland Dancers, and the Champions of the 2007 MHAF Gold and Silver Medal Piping and the Gold Medal Snare, Tenor, and Bass Drumming competitions held in Kansas City.

Midwest Highland Arts Fund incorporated in 2001 and promotes the Scottish Highland performing arts, primarily through workshops, concerts, and competitions. It’s mission is to advance superior highland piping and drumming instruction to musicians from the Midwest and North America.
Impressively, all seven of MHAF’s Directors have competed as soloists or have been members of a pipe band.
