Where to Watch Soccer on TV in Kansas City
I get asked every week where is good, or even possible to watch soccer in Kansas City, and being an ex-pat I tend to focus on European soccer - mostly Irish internationals, the domestic English stuff, and the European Champions League.
But of course most people in the KC area who watch soccer are more interested in the Wizards and in the USA national team.
Here’s a link to an ongoing forum discussion on BigSoccer of where Wizards fans like to watch away games - or road games as they call them here. The 2 places primarily discussed are The Embassy on Main just south of 39th street, and the 810 Zone out in 119th Street’s Town Center.
I get the impression people want to like the Embassy more but a few would like beer available on tap rather than just in bottles, while they are watching. And the usual caveat applies for watching at the 810 Zone in that you might end up competing with the big domestic sports.
Other soccer friendly institutions in the KC region include The Gaf in Waldo (though note they are closed on Sundays), and Cafe & at 45th & State Line.
Feel free to add in the comments any more you’re aware of.
