Visit The Aran Islands clean
Last week somebody asked Irish KC for recommendations on a trip to Ireland, but specifically the Galway area. I’m loathe to get very specifc on such things - unless it’s negative of course (don’t follow the crowds, don’t go on the route that the guidebook says, don’t go at the same time everybody else is) but I did venture out the words, The Aran Islands.
And that’s as far as I went, for each of the three islands has its own character, and I’ve already said too much. Well if you’re the kind of person who likes to read too much, a writer for the Sydney Morning Herald just traveled to Ireland and on to the Aran Islands, and has a two page article on the experience with current prices and travel details.
I would urge you not to read it though - I mean do you need to see the trailer to the movie? If you go without reading about it in advance, what’s the worst that can happen? You might get fleeced, get seasick, drown, or fall down a sheer cliff of over 300 feet - but think of the adventure. So read about it when you come back. If you come back, that is.
