Speaking of things in America being quantifiable, I was reading about Truman State University of Kirksville, here in Missouri.
From the About Truman page I can tell you that Truman is:

• The 8th best public college in the nation for out-of-state students. (Kiplinger’s)
• The No. 1 Public University in the Midwest Region-Master’s Category, for the 10th year in a row. (U.S. News & World Report)
• No. 8 overall in the Midwest region among both private and public institutions.
• The only public university in Missouri to be included in the top 10 public university-master’s ranking.
Oh, and not on that page is the fact that on Tuesday, February 20, Kansas City’s Celtic-Rock superstars The Elders play Truman State University.
