The Shooting of AJ Hanlon
There are a lot of people in Ireland today, and I would be one of them, very puzzled by the decision of a Grand Jury in a small Oregon town, that a police officer was legally justified to shoot and kill the Irish national, 20-year old artist Andrew James (AJ) Hanlon.
Bock covers today’s news that stunned then sickened me when I heard it earlier.

Not a word of this in the US national news. Nor on AOL, or any other online news service that I visit regularly. I’m a news junkie, and I would probably never have heard of this tragedy if I didn’t visit this site. What’s up with THAT?
What I do not get is the ‘mental’ bit. He was not under any doctor, so who defined him with that tag. And how the dickens did the police get to know, but then in a village of 5000 who the hell would not know a juicy titbit
