Celtic Music at KC Ren Fest
Autumn 2008.
A Kansas City festival over 7 weekends.
From Labor Day weekend on to Columbus Day weekend.
As well as playing all over the Midwest (by any definition), and touring Ireland, Tullamore play the Kansas City Rennaissance Festival.
The KC Ren Fest takes place at K-7 and 130th Street, Bonner Springs, in Kansas - just 15 minutes and 500 years from downtown Kansas City, they say, though I suspect if you were using the transport available 500 years ago your trip from downtown KC, MO to the KC Ren Fest would take considerably longer than 15 minutes.
Unless of course you use one of those flying horse-come-dragon beastie creatures.
The fest opens at 10am each day and before closing at 7pm you’ll find Tullamore in there somewhere among 150 shops and 500 costumed characters. Tullamore the town you will find in County Offaly in the midlands of Ireland.
Tickets
Tickets are a whole range of prices depending on what package you go for, but standard adult daily admission is $17.95. You can get those for $15.50 at certain advance outlets but for the convenience of getting your ticket early and cheaper you will also pay a fee of $1.75 which if my maths is correct means you end up saving a total of 70 cents. You can work it out for yourself from the official website.
