Postcards on the Fridge
Postcards. A list.
It’s an exercise in documentation and a snapshot of where I might be right now, or more to the point where people I know have been in the last while.
Of course the real reason I’m listing what’s on the outside of the fridge is that it’s way more impressive than what’s on the inside.
• Clonakilty, Co. Cork, Ireland
• Budapest, Hungary
• Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ireland
• Udaipur, Rajasthan, India
• Westport, Co. Mayo, Ireland
• Lago di Garda, Italy
• Clifden, Co. Galway, Ireland
• Lourdes, France
• Glengariff, West Cork, Ireland
• Pylos, Greece
• Glengash Pass, Co. Donegal, Ireland
• Petra, Jordan
I do have way more in a box nearby, but this is just the current crop of postcards on the fridge. And it’s not that many, so put away your laptops, your phones, and your trips to internet cafes, and send me a postcard.

I feel a little bad. Must start sending postcards to siblings and not just to all my old bosses (is that the right word) to wind them up
We just had a postcard a few days ago from the young woman who stayed with us last summer. She is French, so of course it came with very neat writing, and was enclosed in an envelope. I’ve never known any French people to send postcards au naturel, so to speak. Funny.
