Nobody But A Scot
From the Opinion Line Extra in the Wichita Eagle in Kansas, somebody is proud to be a Scots-Irish-American.
I hate this nonsense:
“Nobody but a Scot would have the creativity to think of something like Harry Potter.”
Good luck with your pride in whatever you are or think you are but “nobody but a Scot would have the creativity to…” How about a Czech? Or a Welsh person - they can be very creative? And I hear they think up all sorts of things over in China, no? And India?
“Nobody but a Scot”? A Scot who grew up in Wales after being born in England of London parents?
I’m a Scots-Irish-American and proud of it. There is a long, illustrious list of famous Americans who share my descent, including George Washington. And now J.K. Rowling. Nobody but a Scot would have the creativity to think of something like Harry Potter.
