Three Dollar Band have launched a new website (even if I can’t get it to load for me today).
Do Three Dollar Band play Irish music? Well yes, they do. They play music from North America and Northern Europe (most of which is from Ireland), but their musical roots and interests go much further than that. The band do a rather good job of explaining it themselves:
In Three Dollar Band we do not hide the fact that we love traditional Irish music, nor do we wish to downplay that we are all Americans with an equal appreciation for the music of our native country. Fortunately for us, Irish and American music have been influencing each other for centuries, a phenomenon we wish to highlight in our music. We create and interpret music that is indicative of our influences and strive to remain true to both ourselves, and the music.
The band of course also have a MySpace page and a FaceBook page (root around, FaceBook is being temperamental for me this morning).
You can see Three Dollar Band perform at various venues in the KC metro area - posted on the Kansas City Irish Events calendar
