Nelly Don movie now on DVD
Nelly Don: A Stitch in Time, the movie about one of America’s first female millionaires, Irish-American Nelly Don, is now available on DVD.
I saw a few of them moments after director Terence O’Malley delivered them on Saturday to Bloomsday Books.
Nelly Don: A Stitch in Time lasts 94 minutes and includes three Nelly Don vintage fashion shows and an interview with the director.
There are only a limited amount available, and I imagine they will go fast - judging by the crowds that have been going to Kansas City’s downtown Screenland theatre to watch this documentary every weekend since its release six or seven months ago.
The DVDs can be purchased from Bloomsday Books for $24.95 or can be purchased online from the Nelly Don website for $28 with shipping included.
Update: I have now listed more locations where you can purchase the Nelly Don DVDs and companion books.
Bloomsday Books is located at 313 E. 55th St., near the intersection of 55th and Brookside Boulevard in the historic Crestwood Shops. Phone: 816-523-6712 no longer maintains a brick and mortar store as it moved to a solely online existence in 2008.
