Nelly Don movie to end Screenland run
Terence O’Malley, director of acclaimed documentary Nelly Don: A Stitch in Time, tells me that it will continue to play at the Screenland Theatre in downtown Kansas City only through the end of the year.
And then it’s over. It will have been a mammoth 35 weeks on screen.
Sounds like another reason for you to pick up your copy of the movie on DVD. Even if you’ve seen it on the big screen, it really does make quite the touching present for those in Kansas City with memories of the time and world of Nelly Don.
As well as Bloomsday Books and online, the Nelly Don books and DVD are also available at:
• Rainy Day Books
• Jackson County Historical Society
• Doherty’s and Sullivan’s (in Lees’ Summit)
The books only are available at Border’s at 119th and I-35, 91st and Metcalf in Overland Park, and the Border’s in Lees’ Summit.
