Missouri Irish Brigade Encampment at the IMCC
On Saturday March 6, 2010 there is a Missouri Irish Brigade Encampment at the Irish Museum and Cultural Center (IMCC) in Kansas City’s Union Station from 11am – 3pm. And it’s free.
At 2 pm, Col. James Crofutt gives his first-person narrative of Missouri’s 7th “Irish” Brigade.
You can see, hear, and experience up close, Civil War re-enactors who made up Missouri’s Irish Brigade.
Medical demonstrations, real Civil War artifacts, rolls of the 7th Brigade (possibly including your ancestors?) and live period music.
Men and women with authentic firearms, tents, equipment and dress will share their knowledge and enthusiasm of this part of Kansas City’s regional Irish history.
