A week ago today, I was reeling from the greatest exit in the history of world football, when minutes after Zidane’s headbutt I received an email from Lisa Boucher in Chicago. The death of Mícheál Ó Domhnaill had taken place.
All week since I was collating links to music by this titan of Irish traditional music to post, when I realized that if you’re not familiar with The Bothy Band, you’re proably not reading or you probably don’t care. It would be kind of like posting a list of links to music by The Beach Boys because Brian Wilson has died.
