Last Chance for Paintings
Today I close down the online store for buying my paintings at reduced prices. Or any prices for that matter.
Today the paintings start to get packed up destined for Ireland before they can be offerred again for sale.
UPDATE: The Online Art Store is now CLOSED.
People ask me all the time if there’s anything good left. No idea. It’s not my call. But here’s some thoughts on a selection of the paintings still available at reduced prices:
• Conscientious Objector has always been singled out by other artists. A painters’ painting, if you will, much the way Ted Bundy was a serial killers’ serial killer. (Update: SOLD)
• 38,000 Feet has been a big hit at every show it’s been at. Except for the selling part. Although an abstract, it’s the most personal painting currently on offer.
• Vinny’s Plant has never been liked by anybody. Not even by Vinny. If you buy it I’ll change the name.
• Killakee View has always surprised me by not selling. But I’ll be genuinely pleased if it comes home with me to Dublin. It’s an old friend.
• Gallerus Stone is a painting I’m very fond of. More than Donegal Standing Stone I or Newgrange Kerbstone
• Galway I was very happy with achieving whatever I was trying to with the paint. Beside me here now I see the water is not quite as lemon-coloured as in the photo.
• Elevator, Sunday is too cheap considering how big it is and how much better it looks in reality.
• Pearse’s Cottage has always drawn complements but never hints of selling. Most other paintings draw promise of selling. It could be that this painting of Patrick Pearse’s cottage is just too big.
• Kenmare River I’m only really happy about the top half of - but then it was painted a very long time ago. Several people have told me it is their favourite of my paintings. (Update: SOLD)

When the unsold paintings arrive in Ireland with the rest of my shipped personal effects, they will go into storage. For me to offer them for sale again I imagine I would need to have obtained a job and somewhere to live. So it could be some time before we do this again.
25 29 paintings have sold to Irish KC readers to date. They have gone to Ireland, England, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Canada and the US. In the US, paintings were sold to people in 8 different states.
Thank you all very much. It pleases me greatly to know my paintings have gone to such good homes.
eolai-
i’m very fond of the ‘’stones”, as well. particularly donegal 1—no, maybe newgrange—on second thought, maybe it’s the gallerus i’m nuts about. in any event, i hate to think of any of your paintings in storage. mine were, for eleven years. when i finally hung some last summer, my reactions ranged from “what was i thinking?” to “hey, i used to be pretty good!” i hope yours won’t languish that long. wish i could buy all three of these. my birthday’s on the 30th, by the way.(!)
drinks that night?
