KCSA Irish Fest
On Thursday May 7, 2009 there is an Irish Fest in Kansas City where you can enjoy Irish music, Irish ale, and Irish food.
This Irish Fest includes the Irish music of the Shortleaf Band, Irish ale from the Weston Brewing Company, and Irish treats from Browne’s Irish Market & Deli.
The KCSA is the Kansas City Symphony Alliance and the Irish Fest is one of its Thursday evening special events.
Location
The Nelly Don Estate at 5236 Cherry Street in Kansas City, Missouri is the KCSA’s 40th Showhouse. It is open from April 25 to May 17, 2009
Nelly Don
Kansas City native and famous Irish-American, Nelly Don is the subject of the beautiful book and very successful feature-length documentary, Nelly Don: A Stitch in Time, by Terence O’Malley who is Nelly Don’s great-great-nephew. Previously on IrishKC there is loads written about Nelly Don
KCSA SHOWHOUSE HOURS:
Sunday : Noon to 5pm
Monday : Closed
Tuesday : Wednesday: 10am - 4pm
Thursday : 10am - 8pm
Friday, Saturday : 10am - 4pm
Purchase advance tickets at Hen House and HyVee stores for $13. Admission at the door is $15.
No infants or children under the age of 8 will be admitted to the Showhouse.
Irish Fest Cost
The Irish Fest, like all Thursday events, is included in the price of admission to the Showhouse.
Proceeds
All proceeds fund the Kansas City Symphony youth concerts.
