Corey Went To Kansas City
Blogger Corey Matejka went to Kansas City for a weekend a couple of weeks back and he got to see Flannigan’s Right Hook perform.
Which means Corey & Cece got to go to Raglan Road.
It’s always interesting to see what people from outside Kansas City make of KC’s Irish bands when they first come across them.
The observations of the presence, or lack of, lines in the P&L District is also interesting.
we headed down to the Power and Light District. This is really like 3 or 4 buildings with a giant roof over the open area between the buildings (which is basically a giant dance floor and social area). There are like 40 bars inside and beer carts in the open area. We ended up at the Irish Pub, the only place without a line, to listen to a little cover band called Flanagan’s Right Hook[sic]. Interesting thing was they had a violin player and played everything from Metallica, to Grateful Dead, to U2, to Sublime.
