KC Live Rock & Irish Music Festival, St Patrick’s Day 2009
Shamrocks and Shenanigans is what they’re calling their all-day Rock and Irish Music Festival in Kansas City’s Power & Light District this St Patrick’s Day.
The party starts at 6am with “Kegs & Eggs” at McFadden’s Sports Saloon, with 96.5 the Buzz broadcasting live.
Then you get “authentic Irish music and fare” at Raglan Road Irish Pub from Flannigan’s Right Hook at 11am, Kelly at noon, and Rattle & Hum KC at 7:30pm. I’d check those times if I was you, and even then take your answers with a grain of salt.
You also have national acts including, Silversun Pickups, Dead Confederate, and The Von Bondies.
Free live music all day, and non-stop festivities continue throughout the day, basically. Parking is $2 all day and all night. UPDATE: Enjoy free parking downtown after 11am at the KC Live! Garage (located on 13th between Grand & Walnut Street) and the Main Street Garage (located between Main & Walnut and 12th & 13th Streets)
You have “crazy games and contests” at McFadden’s and all day you can “enjoy green beer and great music”, for is there any other way to enjoy great music? Or green beer?
The KC Live Shamrocks and Shenanigans is located directly across the street from the Sprint Center.
The festival is sponsored by Miller Lite. Thank you to Christina Kuhn for the information.
These events are posted on the Kansas City Irish events calendar.
