KC Irish Pub & Restaurant Job Fair
Do you want to work for an Irish pub in Kansas City?
Raglan Road, the new Irish gastro pub destined for Kansas City’s Power & Light District, are having a job fair over the next 3 days.
From Thursday 17th Januray, 2008 to Saturday 19th January 2008 Raglan Road are hosting a job fair in the Hotel Phillips in downtown Kansas City.
Experienced restaurant workers with a professional attitude and a sunny outlook are being sought, though I have to wonder if a sunny outlook should be a prerequisite for an authentic Irish pub.
Positions being looked to fill include Managers, Supervisors, Bartenders, Food Servers, Greeters, Bus Persons, Bar Porters, Sous Chefs, Prep Cooks, Line Cooks, and Kitchen Hand/Dishwashers.
The job fair runs from 9am to 6pm each day, and the Hotel Phillips is located at 106 West 12th Street in downtown KC, Missouri.
You’ll be working in a pub/restaurant with 300 dining seats and you’ll want to be able to tolerate wall to wall Irish music.
I can’t speak for the employers but if you don’t have an Irish accent please don’t put one on to get a job. The sporadic cases of the few bunny boilers who have done this in Kansas City in the past has been nauseating in the extreme.
Raglan Road have a blog specifically for their Kansas City pub (as opposed to their original pub in Florida) but after their initial burst of entries it appears to have gone dormant - with no mention of this job fair for example. So if it becomes active again I’ll be sure to point you to it.
If you don’t believe me about the job fair you can always email Aileen [at] RaglanRoadIrishPub [dot] com for more information.
