Kansas City Tony on the Radio
Tony Botello, of Tony’s Kansas City, is on Newsradio 980 KMBZ today Sunday, August 13 at 9:45am.
TKC, is about the most informative website on Kansas City. It’s written in a series of short-snappy news links with smart-aleck comments and smutty jokes, and interlaced with longer opinion pieces, just as smart and deliberately offensive.
Readers unfamiliar with the persona adopted by the author often get bogged down in Tony’s offensive sideswipes or pictures of scantily clad women, and completely miss the rhythm of the site.
As it swings through Kansas City blogs and KC news links spitting out its comments, TKC is almost hypnotic in the picture it paints of a racially divided, continually mis-governed, socially dysfunctional city. And when TKC is offensive it merely holds the truths of so much of the KC metro area that others ignore.
