Kansas City Beer with Irish Breakfast
Speaking of Cillian Murphy, Irish director Neil Jordan’s movie Breakfast on Pluto (which features the astronomically rising Murphy) is now available at Kansas City’s SRO video.
And TONIGHT is as good a night as any to pop down to the best video store in Kansas City and pick it up - because at SRO video it’s Beer Night.
Neil Jordan, lest you’ve forgotten, is the Irish director and writer who has brought you Michael Collins, The Crying Game, The Miracle, The Company of Wolves, Interview With a Vampire, We’re No Angels, Angel (which if you’re American you might know as Danny Boy), High Spirits, and Mona Lisa.
Breakfast on Pluto is another Irish movie by Jordan based on a book by Pat McCabe - as was The Butcher Boy, (one of the best Irish movies ever) - and it mixes some of the themes that formed the background to Jordan’s The Crying Game, the writing of which captured so well much of the complicated relationship between Ireland and England.

To my knowledge, and things may have changed, you can’t get The Butcher Boy on DVD. I’m at a loss to explain why…
By the way, thank you for the cache annihilation advice. It works well. I get too much advice on phonetically similar cache annihilation.
