Jo Reviews Raglan Road
Kansas City’s downtown Irish pub, Raglan Road, features strongly in a review of the Power & Light District posted by Jolene Mendez yesterday.
Jo went to see The Rent, who she found awesome, and:
in between sets the Irish bar & grill would have an Irish jig performed on a table in the center of the room by one of their dancers. Raglan Road added to its authentic feel with this feature
However good, however entertaining, however…well you know, does anyone for a moment really believe that there is anything remotely authentic about an Irish dancer on a table? Of the hundreds - yes hundreds - of pubs in Ireland I have been in, I have yet to see one where there is an Irish dancer on a table.
Anyway Jo enjoyed the dancing, which is probably the point, but didn’t enjoy the prices so much:
When we got our tab closed at the bar we found the drinks to be a little overpriced. A cocktail you could get for $6 out at Power & Light was $9 at Raglan Road.
In fairness it’s not a full review, but you can find some of those in the links below.
