It’s Mother’s Day in Ireland this March Sunny Day
Today is Mothers Day in Ireland. And in the UK too, lest you be of Irish-British persuasion - or British-Irish for that matter.
It’s on a different day to Mothers Day in the USA because the two days have completely different origins, though they seem to have smudged into the same general wishy-washness nowadays.
Anyway, you might want to call your Irish mother, especially if she’s living in Ireland or Britain. Or if you just want to pretend that you or your mother are Irish.
Anyway, if you’re in any way Irish, and you’re a mother, and you’re wonderful, I hope somebody you’re a parent of wishes you a happy Mothers Day.
p.s. It’s cold and grey in Ireland today, not actually sunny.
