Irish Music Lessons in Kansas City
The Kansas City School of Irish Music offers tinwhistle classes at the Irish Museum and Cultural Center (IMCC) by All-Ireland flute champion Turlach Boylan, a resident in the KC area.
You should know Turlach from such KC area traditional Irish bands as Glen Road and Kelly, and shares his passion and expertise.
The tinwhistle is one of the easiest and most affordable instruments on which to start playing Irish music, so every Monday for 10 weeks tinwhistle classes are being offered at the IMCC. The IMCC is located in Union Station.
The Kansas City School of Irish Music also offers individual tinwhistle, flute, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, bodhran or guitar lessons.
The tinwhistle classes begin March 31, 2008.
Cost:
$110 for IMCC members
$120 nonmembers
$100 for multiple family members
(IMCC single membership is $25, family is $30)
