Irish Conversation in a Dublin Pub #33
Number One
-Do you know the way when you visit the little boys room?
-Indeed and I do, and I’m the only one who does
-Well do you find yourself with logistical issues?
-I invariably find myself, but logistical issues?
-Yeah, you know, for Uimhir a hAon
-You wouldn’t be a sit-down man, would you?
-I am not. I am a man’s man
-Well whose ever man you are what is that ails your logistics?
-Do you not find that sometimes you have issues with spillage?
-Spillage I’d say is the very point of the visit
-Yes but in a certain place
-Ah you have an issue of targetting?
-Well not exactly. It’s more one of launching
-You’re hitting the right spot but from the wrong starting place?
-Well no not that either, if that were the case I could just move starting place and readjust targetting accordingly, no it’s more a damage at launch affair
-And you wouldn’t classify this problem as medical?
-Oh no no, it’s logistical definitely
-Logistical?
-Yes. It’s all about how you deal with going through the window, if you get my drift?
-Ahh, yes yes, I see
-You don’t have window issues yourself?
-Oh I haven’t used the window since I was very young
-You’re a sit-down man!
-I am not and I’ll thank you not to suggest such a thing again
-And why don’t you use the window?
-Well, as you’re discovering, it seems to invite problems, and besides, I always felt vulnerable in the window, never safe
-But if you don’t use the window, then you…
-I go over the wall
-But is that not a lot of hard work?
-I grant you it’s a bit of scramble at first, you have a wall to climb after all, but once you’re on top of the wall, freedom, total freedom
-You didn’t feel free using the window?
-Not at all, what with the sides of the window encroaching, and the top above you, you might as well have bars on the thing
-But it’s conventional to use the window
-It may also be conventional to throw stones through a small hole in a fence, but your fence will be in a lot better shape if you throw all of those stones over the fence
-I see what you’re saying
-You’ll find your logistical issues are no more once you get the hang of the climbing
-Actually there is something I wanted to mention about the other number
